The fellowship specifically targets researchers whose home institutions do not have a subscription to the archive, offering them full, year-long access to these primary sources to support their dissertations, books, or educational projects. Beyond access, fellows receive need-based research support from Institute staff and are expected to contribute to the field by integrating survivor voices into their scholarly work. This program is ideal for researchers in fields like history didactics and sociology who require flexible, remote access to conduct deep, testimony-based analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GEI Fellowship (2024)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The research library at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gei.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georg Eckert Institute<\/a>&nbsp;represents a unique tool for international textbook research. To fulfil its important role, the Institute relies on permanent and close academic contact with domestic and foreign researchers and practitioners. To promote the exchange of ideas internationally and further develop international textbook research \u2014 emphasising comparative approaches \u2014 the Institute has developed a fellowship programme with the support of the Association of Friends of the Georg Eckert Institute. Hajdarovi\u0107 was awarded with the fellowship for the research \u201cTeaching History in the Age of Algorithms: The Uncharted Territory of AI-Infused Pedagogy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>HISTOLAB FELLOWSHIP<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(2023)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>HISTOLAB seeks to reinvigorate the field of history education by bringing together innovative ideas and projects about how to improve the teaching of history with a view to strengthening democratic culture in Europe and beyond. Joint Project \u201cTransnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coe-histolab.eu\/about\/description-of-the-project\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HISTOLAB<\/a>\u201d was created between the European Commission and the Council of Europe. In accordance with the overall aim of HISTOLAB and in line with the values and standards of the Council of Europe, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/coe-histolab.eu\/activities\/histolab-fellowship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HISTOLAB Fellowship<\/a>&nbsp;will co-fund the research and the writing of an academic article related to innovation in history education. Miljenko Hajdarovic was awarded with the fellowship for the research \u201cExploring potential digital technologies for history education\u201d. This initiative, comprising historians and educators from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia, has been developing a responsible approach to teaching and learning about recent conflicts for over 16 years. By creating an online database of free resources and offering teacher training, the project addresses sensitive and controversial topics within a neutral and pluralistic framework. The award, presented every two years by the Global Centre for Pluralism, recognizes exceptional individuals and organizations that contribute to building more inclusive societies and protecting human diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BELMA (2021)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2009, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.belma-award.eu\/\">BELMA Awards<\/a>&nbsp;have been presented by the European Educational Publishers Group (EEPG) with support from the International Association for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media (IARTEM) and the Frankfurt Book Fair. The awards are given in four categories\u2014from kindergarten\/preschool to the completion of secondary education. Textbooks are reviewed by a three-member expert jury based on a set of eight quality principles: relevance, transparency, reliability, appeal, flexibility, generativity, participation, and socialization. These principles are broad concepts developed by integrating widely used quality concepts with current learning and teaching theories. Each principle is divided into several sub-principles, representing different dimensions. The history textbook&nbsp;<em>Vremeplov 7<\/em>, by Miljenko Hajdarovi\u0107, Igor Despot and Gordana Frol, won a silver plaque. Hajdarovi\u0107 was also the editor of the textbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Auschwitz: The Past is Present (2014)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/sfi.usc.edu\/news\/2014\/11\/7213-twenty-five-teachers-chosen-participate-%E2%80%98auschwitz-past-present%E2%80%99-professional\">Auschwitz: The Past is Present<\/a>\u201d was an educational initiative by USC Shoah Foundation and the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum for the 70th anniversary of Auschwitz\u2019s liberation. The program included a four-day workshop in Poland for 25 teachers from 11 countries, featuring historical site visits, survivor testimonies, and training on IWitness, USC\u2019s platform with Holocaust survivor videos. This effort aimed to reinforce Holocaust education and the relevance of Auschwitz\u2019s legacy today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Comenius EduMedia Seal (2012)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important German and European awards for exemplary ICT-based educational media were awarded in Berlin on June 22, 2012. Thru \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/comenius-award.de\/\">The Comenius EduMedia Awards<\/a>\u201d GPI (German Society for Education and information) promotes pedagogy, content and design, especially valuable ICT-based educational media: Educational multimedia products (DMP), General Multimedia Products (AMP), teaching and learning management system (LMS), computer games with competency-promoting potential (CKP). In the foreground are also after seventeen years of history, the pedagogical content and educational-methodological aspects. The Croatian History Portal (www.povijest.net) edited and owned by Miljenko Hajdarovic since 2006. was awarded with Comenius EduMedia Seal in the category General Multimedia Products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alfred Lerner Fellow \u2013 Jewish Foundation for the Righteous (2012)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Holocaust Centers of Excellence Program, launched by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jfr.org\/\">JFR&nbsp;<\/a>in 2000, partners with selected Holocaust centers nationwide to strengthen Holocaust education across diverse communities. Currently, sixteen centers participate, each receiving two initial scholarships for the Summer Institute for Teachers and nominating two educators annually. These centers commit to offering Holocaust education programs using JFR materials, aiming for comprehensive teaching that includes the theme of rescue. Educators trained through the program, known as Alfred Lerner Fellows, create a network of Holocaust educators within each center and for the JFR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Web top 100 \u2013 national Internet competition by VIDI Publishing House (2007)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>VIDI Web Top 100 is a national competition that selects the best websites in the Croatian online space.
