It is a special honour for me to be among the first four HISTOLAB fellows. HISTOLAB seeks to reinvigorate the field of history education by bringing together innovative ideas and projects about how to improve the teaching of history with a view to strengthening democratic culture in Europe and beyond. Joint Project “Transnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory – HISTOLAB” was created between the European Commission and the Council of Europe. In accordance with the overall aim of HISTOLAB and in line with the values and standards of the Council of Europe, the HISTOLAB Fellowship will co-fund the research and the writing of an academic article related to innovation in history education.
