AI 101 for a history teacher

While the language barrier may be an obstacle because it is not in English, I want to share some information from my field of interest and region. The potential benefits of generative AI tools in history education should be considered more. I am taking proactive steps to ensure that my fellow Croatian history teachers are included in this rapidly advancing field. By organizing a virtual roundtable on AI (on May 17) and writing an extensive article on AI in the “Teaching History” magazine (it will be published on June 1), I will try to provide valuable resources to help my colleagues integrate this technology into their teaching practices. Finally, with the widespread adoption of AI, it is crucial for educators to stay informed and adapt to these technological changes to ensure that they provide their students with the best education.
