Hey,
My name is Miljenko Hajdarović [/ˈmiːljɛnko haɪˈdɑːrɔvɪtʃ/ or MEEL-yen-koh HY-dar-oh-vich], and I’m a historian, sociologist, and educator dedicated to critical and inclusive history education. Based in Croatia, I have spent nearly two decades working with teachers, students, and adult learners, connecting history with civic education, media literacy, and ethical reflection. As a doctoral candidate in education sciences and an experienced trainer, I design and deliver professional development programs, online courses, and EU-funded projects focused on history teaching, Holocaust education, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in education. My work is driven by the belief that history education should empower learners to think critically, confront difficult pasts, and actively contribute to a more democratic and humane society.
From 2005 to 2018 and again from 2022, I taught History, Sociology, Politics, and Civics at primary and secondary schools. Between 2018 and 2022, I worked with the publishing house Profil Klett as an editor for both printed and digital editions.

I am a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Education, focusing on Educational Sciences and Educational Perspectives. In 2023, I was awarded the HISTOLAB fellowship, followed by the GEI Fellowship in 2024. Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous projects, including those with the Association for Education and Promotion of Human Rights, EUROCLIO, the Croatian Association of History Teachers, HERMES, Anne Frank House, and the Complete Curriculum Reform (where I was a co-author of the curriculum for Politics).
I have delivered numerous lectures and participated in various domestic and international conferences. I am the author of several professional and scientific works and a dozen textbooks, educational materials, and books. My certifications include Microsoft Certified Educator, MIE Expert, Flipgrid Ambassador, Google Certified Educator, MagicSchoolAI Pioneer, Gemini Certified Educator, etc.
