Education has never been a static field, but the current pace of change – driven by digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence – requires us to be more than just observers. As I continue my research in history didactics and my work in adult education, I am thrilled to share that I have taken a new step in this professional evolution: I have officially become a Microsoft Elevate Educator – Explorer for 2026-2027.
The Microsoft Elevate Educator community is not just a certification; it is a roadmap for growth. It is designed to help educators transition through three key stages:

This is my current starting point. It’s about accessing essential resources, building global connections, and initiating the journey toward innovation.

The next level, where educators showcase classroom leadership and the creative integration of technology.

Each stage is designed to empower us to elevate education, ensuring that we aren’t just using new tools, but leading with purpose.

What resonates most with me in this program is its focus on inclusive and responsible innovation. By stepping into the Elevate Educator role, my goal is to help ensure that AI serves everyone. As educators, we are in a unique position to prepare students with the skills needed for a rapidly changing world. It is our responsibility to ensure that technology expands access and opens opportunities, rather than creating new barriers.
For me, this journey is deeply connected to my work at the Public Open University Čakovec and my PhD research. Whether we are teaching history or training adults for new career paths, we are essentially shaping a culture of lifelong learning. Being an “Explorer” means I am committed to building a future-ready classroom where every learner can thrive. I look forward to sharing the insights and strategies I discover along the way with all of you.
